Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 G2. on Z

A friend of mine is selling off some gear and is selling a Tamron 70-200 G2 for $600.  Wondering how this lens is on the Z . Thank you in advance

Works great.  Make sure it has the latest firmware and you need the FTZ adapter.

Go for it. You won't regret it. You will have to update first.

Thank you.  I found a used one and it just came a couple days ago, along with a  tap in console.  Glass is perfect, only thing I needed to do was clean the threads of the hood, there was a little dust on that I updated the firmware.  Haven’t used it only for a few photos, but seems like it’s going be a regular used lens.  I had the Sigma Sport 70-200 and sold it, it was way to heavy, plus the focus peaking never worked on a regular basis.  This Tamron seems to hardly weigh anything compared to the Sigma.

Enjoy the lens. One thing to be aware of is how easily the switches on the side can change their positions. Just by pulling camera out of bag AF switched to MF on me several times and I missed focus on the shot. The same with VC switch.

I finally put a tape over the switches I don't want to change. Doesn't look pretty, but it fixed the issue.

Works perfectly, but just may need a lens firmware update.

Yes.  I ordered the tap in console with the lens.  It did need the firmware update.
