Seeking A Company To Make Custom Size Overhead Overhead Fabric/Reflectors
1

I'm looking for recommendations on companies to make some 30'x8' overhead fabric panels. I have the frame but need a manufacturer to sew the webbing and place the grommets for one black and one white panel.

Then down the road, I may be looking for a complete frame with matching panels at 14'x20'. If you have any suggestions on companies who may also make frames as well, that would be helpful.

Here is what I've found so far:

look into companies that produce "vinyl" Truck covers.

or companies that do print digital advertising billboards.

Perhaps think about a rolled material and mount?

I know it's not what you asked, but have you considered a roll system?

Basically, with the right tensioning (e.g., rigidly mounting the roll holder and opposing "nest" on the ceiling or walls) you should be able to just plop the desired roll (i.e., white or black) into the holder and pull the material to the locking "nest." I'd assume the roll's loose end would be bonded (stapled?) to a rod for locking into a nest.

The problem with stretching panels is that it's a huge pain to change. My experience with such things is actually with large rear/front projection screens that we used for conference displays... and they took >3 people to set-up because of the problems involved in stretching the material onto the screen so it is free of creases. The material was always stowed and shipped folded, so it took lots of pulling force to not show a crease where it had been (gently, with a radius) folded. Rolled material shouldn't have that problem.... BTW, we did switch to a rolled rear-projection screen after about a decade of struggle with the others.

If you can’t find anyone in this photog line of business, I’d go to a sailmaker the size and fittings would be a walk in the park for them.  Not how sure how far you would be from your nearest sailmaker is though.
