Models without Classic Chrome Film Simulation(CCFS)

Hi,

There are many older models of X series cameras with older X-Trans sensors that DON'T have Classic Chrome film simulation(CCFS).
I own an old X100S that doesn't have this CCFS. Is it possible to manipulate existing FSs to transform one of them to look like CC or really close to it? I suspect not(*), if so can you tell me the camera settings, thanks in advance.

* I think there is a software that can change the EXIF to make X100S to say X100F and basically deceives the Fuji studio S/W so the s/w thinks it is X100F hence I can get the CC simulation profile. This is a little long-winded and tedious way.

It’s easy to change the model data with Iridient X-Transformer when you’re creating a DNG with better X-Trans demosaicing to edit with in Lightroom, but I prefer to create a custom profile to mimic the Classic Chrome film sim that can be used normally with the X100S without having to mess with the EXIF data. If you’re using the modern version of Lightroom I can probably come up with a profile for you to install and try.

I switched image processing some time ago my latest LR(*)version(old) is Version 6.14, basically a stand-alone one not online.  Can this version read your profile?

* basically I refuse to subscribe to the monthly/yearly version and besides I was not sure it can process Fuji files accurately.

Use c1 express and you get it as an option.

My X-T2 doesn't have eterna but I get it with c1 express

The current Lightroom is far more capable than what you’re using.

I agree with Erik on this. If you want to get the most out of the RAF files, up to date versions of the software will be best suited to perform at the peak. You are shorting yourself using very old software. There are plenty of trial versions plus the free FujiExpress that C1 provides.

You can try to use PRO Neg. Std following this recipe:

A Classic Chrome recipe that uses CC film simulation!

It is mainly for X-T1 I think this model has CC.

You see I use 2 cameras to test the CC(Classic Chrome) like you suggested.

1. X-T20 with CC

the fuji weekly  suggestion as above is fairly accurate between the two,

ie actual CC and ProNegstd emulation

2. X100S using the recipe as per Fuji weekly.

the image I obtained looked quite different from 1 above. The colors are different.

Can I conclude the Pro neg std works differently in both cameras or the lenses from both cameras alter the color hue, or what?
