Honorable Mentions:

The WB's photo of a friend's Dogs. What a great pair to romp and play.

I always try and work around a Praying Mantis in the garden because they take care of so many pests, but looking at this, they still give me the creeps.

3RD Place goes to Len's Cat in a Basket. A typical Feline, finding any place to watch over their Domain. A box would work just as well.

2ND Place goes to Don's Mute Swans gracefully floating across the skies. We live near a large lake on a golf course and hear the honking morning and evening as they come and go. I can just about set my watch by them.

1ST Place goes to Jethro, bucking the trend with animals. I'm a sucker for flowers, especially Daises, I have a garden full of them, despite the heat this time of year. I just love this beautiful close-up with the contrasting background. Jethro, the next challenge is yours, looking forward to it.

And congrats to Jethro on the flower. When I first saw it, I was struck by how clean, crisp and perfect it looks.
