TG-6 won't stop taking photos!

I'm probably doing something stupid here, but... I took some close-up photos in the garden just now, on P with Pro Capture, fill flash, and SF Super Macro. All was going hunky-dory (though I must see if I can reduce the number of exposures it takes on Pro Capture so I don't end up with hundreds I need to sort through).

Then I decided to change it from Pro Capture to single shot... but it wouldn't stop taking photos. Every few seconds it would seem to take a new photo, and I couldn't make it stop. I tried changing settings, but that had no effect,  and I couldn't even turn it off. In the end I took the battery out and put it back in again and that seems to have worked.

Checking the card, it's not actually saved these shots. I'm wondering if I tried actually pressing the shutter fully it would have 'properly' taken a photo and sorted itself out, but I may have actually tried that - and I can't now replicate the problem.

Any ideas please?

I do recall having it setup by accident one time were it would take I think 10 photos of each subject.  Lol.  I restored it back to factory defaults and it went away.   Their are so many options for settings  you need to write them down.  I did so I know what menue  I'm setting what in.

Re: TG-6 won't stop taking photos!

Thanks Sondering. Having read the manual, it seems that the number of photos taken in Pro Capture is determined by how long you hold the shutter button halfway for before pressing it fully. My problem was different though... the camera carried on taking photos, a few seconds apart, for the next few minutes till I took the battery out.

When I work out the best settings for my photos I'll save them in one of the C settings. I really need a flash diffuser first, though, so I'm hoping they become reavailable soon.
