C-Log3 clipping on R5c-question: ISO below 800?

When shooting C-Log3 on my R5c, I have a weird issue: if I shoot at a low ISO--200, for example, when the base is 800--the waveform will show clipping at 80. It's a flat, level line. If I record at that ISO the image will have no detail in those areas, but the image will be gray, not white.

However, if I bump the ISO back up to 800 and use an ND to reduce the light coming in, the clipping occurs only at 100.

Is there some issue with using low ISOs and C-Log3 that I'm missing in my (partial) reading of the manual? This seems bizarre.

Why am I shooting at a lower ISO? Well, I've been in the field, rather remote, and not had my ND filters with me...

Re: C-Log3 clipping on R5c-question: ISO below 800?

thats to be expected on any Dual native ISO camera
800 base ISO  specified by canon means its suppose to have optimal DR both in shadow and highlight.
if you choose lower ISO than base ISO you got less information on highlight
