X-S10 Availability EU?

Hello everyone,

I'm actively looking to purchase a X-S10 camera (ideally with the 16-80 but I'll settle with the body only). Unfortunately, there are absolutely none available anywhere in the EU - even second-hand

I know there are production issues in Asia but some French stores are showing "currently being restocked" and the big store FNAC is even giving a ship by date of mid-July for the body only and end of July for the 16-80 kit.

Does anyone have any visibility into these dates at all? Are they just random or is production picking up again?

Cheers, Olivier

Not quite . . .

When I walked past Camara Grillot Darbois in Dijon yesterday there was a new X-S10 with a 16-80 in the window display cabinet. I don't know where you are, but they might deliver it?

Otherwise, Panamoz.com will deliver that kit in a week or so.

MPB has a whole stack of secondhand cameras in the UK - maybe they will ship? or maybe they have a EU specific branch?

Re: X-S10 Availability EU?

I'm in Paimpol, Bretagne... Unfortunately far from any big cities with dedicated photo stores.

The Camara site lists it as "En cours de réapprovisionnement, livré sous 1 à 2 semaines" but I'll get in touch with the Dijon store directly see what they can do, thanks!

Regarding the 'ships in a week' notices in most stores, I've been burned before and I tend not to trust them that much. They say that and then it takes weeks if not months because they are backordered...

Just talked to the manager of the store and they have not had an XS10 in store since before March. He said that he had talked to the Fuji rep last week and even the rep had no idea when new stocks would arrive...

I could have sworn it was an X-S10. Must have been mistaken - apologies.

Good luck with finding an X-S10. Such a small, lightweight (relatively) camera with good IBIS is a gem.
It’s well worth waiting for.

Thanks. MPB UK does have them but there are none to find on MPB EU site (problem with ordering from UK is an automatic 25% VAT & Custom fee applied to any parcel that arrives in the EU on top of all other shipping fees, etc I'd have to pay MPB).

I've finally ordered one from Panamox (thanks davidnbb ), they assured me this morning that they had the kit in their warehouse ready to ship. The price new was about 20% more expensive than most other retailers but I guess that's the price of getting into the mirrorless game in mid 2022!

Thanks everyone for the info. Will probably be back asking many other questions when I receive the camera in 7 to 10 business days Cheers.

Thank you so much for the links! (I've already ordered one from Panamox this AM).

It's fascinating to see how the UK seems to be ok with X-S10 stock whereas there are absolutely none in France (just had a reply from a second photo store - part of a large group - that confirmed once more that the Fuji reps had no idea when stock would be back). I've also checked many sources in Germany, Spain and Italy and they are all out of stock.

None really on Ebay EU, none second-hand (the EU MPB has zero vs. 13 in the UK MPB!)...

Re: Here's a load

There's also no stock of most Fuji models in the 2 NL shops which I checked, it seems!

Only X-T3 and X-Pro3 seem to have stock available?

Spoke to the manager of one of the big photo stores in France. He told me the last XS10 they had in stock was in March and the last XT-4 was in... December !!

Wow...

Is that just due to shortages in the supply-chain?

Perhaps Fuji is using all production capacity it has and available parts it can find for the production of the X-H2 so that they have enough stock on-hand to meet the initial demand on release!

The UK is nolonger in the EU. If a UK merchant will still sell to the EU it is likely that there will be customs charges etc.
