Ultra wide pleasure....

Are you tired of hunting for good copy of 15-45 kit lens?

Do you need something wider to cover all of your family member in single frame?

Do you want to shoot your bathroom in more dramatic way?

Do you seek friendly budget ultra wide but against manual focus?

Look no further, save your time and money, invest this lens!

Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

Pros:

+ Sharp and good color, contrast rendition (give you nicer RAW to work with)

+ Quite quick and smooth AF

+ Solid and compact build quality

+ Good price!

Cons:

+ Narrow aperture

+ Unprofessional look

+ May not work well with polarizer filter (but still possible in some degrees)

Here is some of my samples (i shoot RAW and process with personal taste)

...thank you!

Thanks for the review. It is a great lens, I own one myself and it's optically better than the EF-S 10-18mm IS STM I had for my older Canon SLR system.

Just a note: this review is probably better suited to the Canon 'M' forum as the EF-M 11-22 IS STM is a lens only for the EOS M cameras, which are mirrorless cameras and not SLRs.  The lens isn't compatible with any Canon SLRs, and so doesn't really have relevance to the 'SLR lens' forum.

i wish i can upload the review on M forum

but strangely, the dpreview system routed it to SLR forum instead....

dpr should really have called this the lens forum or the interchangeable lens forum, but it's probably too late to change that now and it would break hundreds of links. This is the lens that's always on one of my EOS M cameras, unless I only have one of them on me and need a different field of view. I don't just like the performance of this lens, I also love its size and manoeuvrability.
