Darwin Lake Timelapse
2

I took this with my EOS 600D.

It was my first ever attempt at making a timelapse, and frankly I'm not too happy with it.

But here it is anyway.

I think that's pretty neat. You just started doing this with the video, right? I think that's a great start.  I saw this on YouTube.  Video is so popular that we "still" photographers should not ignore it.  So you are ahead of the rest of us, that haven't explored more video options.

Thanks.

Hang on! It was only my first attempt, and I consider it not-very-good. But I'm happy to accept a compliment.

Did you have to pay to join YouTube?  How is this better or worse than Vimeo?

No. It's free with a google account (also free). I use Gmail for my email, so I already had access to YouTube.

I 'haven't had any experience with vimeo, but YT is free.

There are three publicity setting for TY:

  • Public: Anyone can search for and watch your video (and leave comments)
  • Unlisted: Anyone with the link can view
  • Private: Only you can see it

Storage is (I think) unlimited on YouTube.

Re: Darwin Lake Timelapse

I used "Unlisted" for the timelapse you saw.

Updated version

The original one won't work anymore, so here's the updated version:

Thanks for the update.  That's pretty neat.  I like how you put that together.

I didn't.

It was (very kindly) done by DPR member "chasg". He/she read I was unhappy and offered to help.
