Sold all my Fuji X bodies....
2

I bought an X-S10 for travel, based on IBIS (which I don't need for my other photography), ease of use with 16-55 etc due to the larger handgrip, and size/weight.

I had a love/hate relationship with the X-S10 - loved the IQ from indoor handheld shots in particular, IBIS makes this easy! I found it a far-from-pleasurable camera to use though, hated the UI, I much prefer the dials on the X-T series.

I can just about live with the lack of dials on my GFX100S as I tend to use that in one particular way, so there isn't much changing of settings there.

The answer? Obvious - sell both X-T3's and the XS-10 and get an X-T4. I lost a bit on the XS-10 but the X-T3's didn't owe me anything, plus I don't really need a backup body any more and so had been thinking of selling one of the X-T3's for a while.

Thought I would make the move before the X-H2S is available as trade-in prices might possibly take a bit of a dip if the market gets more supplies of the older cameras.

So far the X-T4 seems perfect, and is clearly what I should have gone for instead of the X-S10. Yes, the X-T4 is bigger and heavier, but although this is a downside for travel, it actually helps for other stuff, like on a gimbal, where I was always having to add a counter-weights to the X-T3 and grip with my Sigma 150-600 Sport.

I'm using this more and more so this aspect was important to me. I'll know more when my X-T4 battery grip arrives in a few days. The weights are just another thing for me to forget/lose

Running just one type of battery and chargers is a bonus too (and the NP-W235 USB C chargers are great).

What about the X-H2S? Well, let's see

I also had owned the X-S10, and liked its grip, IBIS (to some extent), and its shutter, but the "flippy" screen generally disagrees with me, and double-pressing the joystick didn't return the focus point to the center of the screen. Additionally, the preset functions on the PASM (PSAM?) dial didn't store video settings specific to and distinct from photo or "global" settings, which was a waste of their potential and of my intention. Lack of WR wasn't a problem for me, but it's nice to have dual card slots.

Ah - dual card slots. The X-T4 was the first Fuji camera to feature total redundancy, able to write both stills and videos to both cards. That, and its quiet/shockless mechanical shutter, segregated still/video operations, IBIS (not good for panning/tilting video, but decent), and USB-powering capability were enough for me to overlook its "flippy" screen and spring for it. It's all the camera that need, and more (being some features that I'll never even use).

My only gripe about the X-T4, except for what I'd convinced myself to overlook, is the IBIS, which concerns me mainly in regard to video (since the smooth mechanical shutter enables slow handheld exposures). As mentioned, in panning/tilting is laggy and jerky. Also, in stills shooting with OIS lenses, it causes frames to be slightly skewed, with crooked horizons and verticals. Additionally, when using the X-T4 with the XF 70-300mm at its far end, the frame jerks about, whereas when I use a non-IBIS body with it, no such problem. People like to complain about Fuji's sub-par (?) AF, but the X-T4's AF is fine for what I need it for; I'd suggest that Fuji step up their IBIS game, and also provide menu controls to make IBIS and OIS able to work either independently or in tandem (via firmware update, maybe?).

But there's no perfect camera, right? The X-T4 is ultimately the perfectest one for me.

Why buy a camera that does that? Surely it is a huge is exaggeration?
