Shooting Roses - color issues - Canon 90D

I have a canon 90D and shoot RAW and JPG. This spring I’ve been shooting roses on a rose bush. I’ve shot at all times during the day and under all lighting conditions

Here is my problem and my question.
my images are coming out of the camera incorrectly reflecting the rose’s color.
they are too red compared to the actual color. Also two roses next to each other are different colors

Is there a menu setting that affects this? It’s not white balance as that is correct.

any suggestions welcome

thanks

mark

Mark, you might want to post this on the other forum, where you'll find more users of the Canon 90D. I've been happy with the colors I get from my Canon T7i (800D) camera. But I've been only taking them as out-of-the-camera JPEGs. Here's an example of a really bright red rose. The white balance was set to cloudy during a rainstorm.

What do your red roses look like?  Do the out-of-the-camera JPEGs look much different than the RAW images that you post process?

I see that about 20 minutes ago, you posted this on the correct forum for the Canon 90D. You might want to post them some samples. From there maybe you can describe for them all, what is seen in the mage compared to what you remember them actually looking like.

Thanks. I put this here by accident but you are always so helpful.
the jpeg and the RAW color is not much different but neither matches reality

I thought there might be a color setting I’m missing.

Yea thanks. I fat fingered the forum I chose on my iPad.
I didn’t think posting would help

they would just tell me they’re not sharp enough (and for once that’s not my concern).

Hi Crotonmark,

It can be fairly expensive to colour calibrate both your camera and your Monitor which you view your pictures on but it's the only way to get close to seeing on screen what you're seeing in real life situations.
