RF 100-400 + extender vs one of the f11 telephoto

I have the RF 100-400 and will eventually need/want more reach without breaking the bank. Which would be a better option: the 100-400+1.4 (100-400+2) versus the 600/11 (800/11)?

in searching I found a similar thread for the  RF 100-500 that seemed to lean toward the teleconverter.

I have the RF 100-400 with the 1.4x TC and it works great.  I had the RF 800 f11 as well as the Sigma 150-600 C, and this combo works the best, at least for me, on my R6.

The focus is fast and accurate, and IQ really doesn't take a hit.  I'm leaving Saturday for my annual Yellowstone trip, so I'll really be putting this combo to work.
