Lumix G7 - exclamation !

Hi guys, obtained a G7 as a back up. I changed the frame rates to 30fps and 60fps. When this hack is done, is it common for the wording Lumix to not appear when the camera is turned off ? Instead the exclamation mark appears at every shut down. Is this normal ?

Usually the exclamation mark means the camera is still in service mode. Did it also appear before the hack? If not, then it's caused by the hack somehow. Check if the camera is operating normally. If it does, then no worries.

Certainly not before. Its a common hack, but i was not sure of the ‘!’   Looks like its normal.

Exclamation mark is normal for such "hacks". It's a reminder that your camera is still set to service mode.

It will go away if you disable the hack.

I have the same on my G7 which has been hacked for unlimited 4k record. here's a link if yo u haven't done so yet.

Thanks for the confirmation. Appreciate the link for the unlimited. Will skip it for now as i i dont record long videos - at the moment-  it sure is a cool hack.

I remember the days where i missed so much footage due to the much shorter recording time in the Olympus Ep3. Wasnt a video machine in anyway !
