media player for Android tablet?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a media player software program fora an Android tablet.

I have a Galaxy Tab A7.

I'm looking for a software program capable of playing 4K videos.

Do you know if VLC Media Player has an Android version?

I have ordered a 128G UHS-1 HDXC card and a UHS-1 Sandisk Card reader,

Thanks,

Steve Thomas

I should have looked before I leaped.

Yes, VLC has an Android version app.

I took a little 1080p video, and using Camera Connect and Control, transferred and downloaded it into My Files on my tablet.

Using VLC, I then played it on my tablet.

Thank you anyway,

Steve Thomas

Samsung also supplies a video player.  If it's not installed on your device, it's available in the Galaxy Store.

Robert,

Thanks. If this VLC Player doesn't work out, I'll keep that in mind.

Albert,

I'm shooting with a Canon T8i.

The T8i is capable of shooting 4K video at 24fps, but I don't have a 4K television.

Down the road, I'm exploring the possibility of shooting some 4K videos and playing these on my tablet, or downsampling them to 1080p and playing them on my TV.

I've ordered a Sandisk UHS-1 128G HSXC card, and a Sandisk UHS-1 card reader for the 4K. We'll see how that goes.

I use VLC Player.

But when my wife found it too buggy on her phone, she switched to Musicolet.
