Where does the M line have a reasonably inspiring standard zoom for enthusiasts? The 15-45? lol

Personally, I’m a big fan of the results we get from our 18-150 on the M6II.

By my (and many people’s) definition, a standard zoom must be at least 28mm (better 24mm) wide (equiv. FoV). So strictly speaking, the 18-150 is not even a standard zoom.

It may be an ok lens, though.

28.8mm. So close! Oh well.

45 is more than enough, but 500.000 isn't

Wait a minute. So for well over a decade or two Nikon and Canon never sold a single standard zoom kitted with all those crop sensor dslr’s paired with an 18 - 55? Or was it standard for Nikon but not for Canon because of the 1.6x crop factor?

There are actually several decent 15-45 around.

I just ordered a refurbished 24-105 STM from Canon for $249. Hell, I always liked it. Might as well have one for when I just want to go to the park with my kids and not lug a bunch of heavy lenses around.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. I think it will make a nice light weight setup on my RP! I haven't actually tried it on the RP yet because I loaned it to my niece to take on vacation. I did use it on my R5 and without a lot of pixel peeping it did fine.
