Samsung - Galaxy Tab S6 Lite USB-C card reader?

Hello friends, was just wondering if I could edit my Olympus E-M1X camera files with a Samsung - Galaxy Tab S6 Lite using a typical USB-C card reader- anyone doing this or have tried? Experience?

I like sending camera jpg images to my S6 Lite using cameras as WiFi hotspot. Otherwise I connect cameras to a PC with USB cable for raw files, videos. I have had card readers cause problems with the cards so I rarely take them out of the cameras. I have let to try what you are asking.

Normally it's just a simple question whether an Android device supports "OTG" (On the Go) USB connections - sadly often not clear from manufacturer or specification websites - should be stated in a good user manual.   As often with Android, no obvious rhyme or reason why manufacturers arbitrarily enable or disable this basic OS capability on specific devices.

Quick web search indicates the Tab S6 Lite supports OTG but some users report issues - oddly Amazon (Canada) lists a "special" model cable for it - no idea if any standard cable would do as well.

A USB-C to USB adapter works to connect my S6 Lite to flash drive and cameras. This is the one I bought if posting links here is permissible:

If you get a good OTG cable I cant see any reason why not. The software to open RAW files might need investigating but the chances are that Photo Mate should work .

I use a Samsung tablet and an OTG cable  with card reader to backup my camera files  to a large micro sd in the tablet. I think your S^ should be able to manage between 500gb and 1TB , check on Samsung site.

It is a great way to backup the camera when traveling, and be able to look through the days shooting . As for causing issues with the card, tow things to watch out for are firstly buy a decent cable and have no poor arcing connections . Secondly only ever format the camera card in the camera with which it will be used.
