M6ii and EF 16-35 F4 landscape tests
1

It's finally been nice enough in the Midwest to get out and retest my 2022 landscape kit, which for me is settling in on my M6ii and EF 16-35 F4.  Yes, its big, but its also very high resolution.

Camera was set up for Manual exposure with electronic shutter on 2 sec timer.  B+W circular polarizer on front.

The files were processed via DXO PureRaw4 (just lens adjustment no sharpening), then brought into Lightroom for light color and tones/contrast editing, then processed for sharpening via TOPAZ Sharpen AI.  While these are ordinary boring scenes today, they at least give me an idea of what output will look like once I can make some trips out and about soon.

16-35 is ok IQ on m as you've shown but is heavy and for FF imo

Yeah, I tried the 11-22 and I just did not bond with it, I always wanted more tele range.  Plus since I have R mount body, this lens does dual purpose work for me.

Otherwise the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art + Sigma ef-m 16mm f/1.4 might give better results at about the same price.

45 is more than enough, but 500.000 isn't

I have both of these lenses.  The 11-22 sure is a lot smaller in comparison, but then again, for serious landscapes there is nothing better than using an L lens.

The 11-22 is nice but it is designated for travel photography in my bag.

Yep, that is how I feel, different jobs for each lens.

well, the 20 mpxl of the R6 is lacking in pixels for scapes

I bonded with the 32.5 mpxl and 11-22 at iso 100.

as far as tele range, 22 is the ff equivalent of 35

the 32 f1.4 gives 50 fov and goes everywhere also

the light weight package can go everywhere

I hear you, but this is my plan all the same for now…
