Android: replacement for huawei p30 pro

Dear all,

It seems that my p30 pro is near its end, after three years the battery goes down considerably faster and I am considering an alternative.

Do you think there's a significant better smartphone camera out there?

I tested the pixel 6 pro and did not see any considerable improvement. The Samsung s22 ultra is not an option, since I wouldn't want a smartphone with stylus.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Elmar

Until ATT got rid of their 3G network - I was in love with my Mi 10 Pro....  now, it doesn't work since it can't seem to find 4G networks near me and still tried to fall back to 3G which doesn't exist (thx ATT!).

My biggest complaint with the phone is the lack of a proximity sensor - trying to make a phone call and holding the phone to your ear means launching other apps or accidently calling 3rd people...

Good luck!

I brought my Huawei to a Huawei repair shop. It cost 45 Euro to change the battery for a new one. Good to go for a long time again.

Might work. Also considering if there's a way to get the p50 pro working with Google services

I would like that too. If I didn't need the Google services, I would have bought a Huawei phone again.

It's more than just getting Google services on the phone.. if the phone doesn't support good US bands - you won't get calls in/out without issue and your apps that are checking thinks like MMS will freak with messages all the time... ask me how I know!

The Ultra is not an option just because of the S pen? That's a really silly way to look at it.  If you don't want to use the pen keep it in the phone. The phone itself is fantastic actually. I am close to pulling the trigger on it and will probably only use the pen for a remote shutter. The rest of the phone is head and shoulders above any other android phone on the market.

The stylus is fine and it responds to touch well without it. I've had it a week and am trying the DJI Gimbal OM5

I think it's the best you can find.

When you buy it you will realize it only come with a single USB-C on both ends cable and NO charger. For the Ultra 45w is recommended. They also should have included a USB 3+ to USB-C for transfer and computer work.

Welcome to the post "environmental" apple world.  Remove the charging block because of the environment.  Then after that, the others followed because they "loved" the environment of charging 50 bucks for a block instead of including it as much as apple does.
