I have one shelf sitter and that is the Olympus Pen F as my recently bought used Leica Q takes over its role

The most used is my old Panasonic GX7

Here in Britain this is the weekend we advance our clocks etc for summer time - and I've noticed all too many cameras in which the menu hadn't been moved on since I set them back an hour last autumn...

Several of them (the Samsung NX stuff particularly) should go now, I guess - but it does seem high time for my old FZ200 to have an outing!

Inside my auto dry cabinet, there are the Panasonic LC5 (17 years old now), FZ5 (16 years old), FZ30 (14 years old), FZ28 (13 years old?), G1 (11 years old), and lately the GF3, which were retired and will unlikely be put into real action anymore.

They are all in perfect condition if I can have a good battery.

The GX1 and GX7, having IQ still close/similar to my current latest cameras, are not decided should they retire yet.

I never sell them because of the poorly small sales money never justify my effort to sell them. I would rather keep them, take them out and play around from time to time.

Indeed every film cameras I have, including the first Fujica STX1 which costed my first few months salary around 50+ years ago, are still inside my cupboard (my camera graveyard). No dust because I clean them regularly.

I originally had 2 Fujica STX1. One was loaned (actually was a grift) to my late brother in law who showed interest in photographing a few decades ago. I recovered the camera after he passed away, found the camera was covered with a thick coat of fungus inside out... It is the only cameraI had to trash it. I never lend nor give my camera to any F&F anymore, rather keep them myself.

My car is a bit dusty!!

Quite dry here, and so the dust.

If it rained I could leave the car out in the rain....this could help!

Come to think of it the inside of the house is pretty dusty also.

When my wife gets back from her holiday she wont be too happy!

She really hates dust!!!

And you know what?.....it's raining really heavily where she is!

I wish some of it would come this way....might settle the dust a bit!!

Don’t have any per se - Re: Digital Dust collectors

Although some are used infrequently because they are used for travel, I use all mine: TZ60/LX7/GM1/GF7/GX80/G80x2/G9. Any camera not used for several months is sold on eBay. I sold my GM5 last year and replaced it with the GX80.

Selling unused lenses is more problematical, I prefer not sell original kit lenses thinking the body + kit lens will sell more easily.

I have Olympus and Yashica 35mm cameras gathering dust but prefer to keep them as paperweights rather than give them away. Yashica FR1 bought in the 80s, yikes the purchase price at today’s value £1,800! I wouldn’t spend that now, yet I have much more disposable income.

I don`t have them --->

If something is lying around unused (outside tatty work backup cameras like the D3) then they get sold or passed on .

.......and yes the Pan G5 does get used - for product photography - It`s got over 33,000 shots on the clock just doing that in the past two years and has held up very well , all I`ve needed to do is remove the back and tighten up the screws which hold the LCD hinge together , it`ll get replaced with a GH3 or some other non-IBIS panasonic  at some stage but it ain`t gathering dust

Not a drama

No prejudice just don’t like cats and old camera buzzards. Yes it’s time to exit the forum and let the dust settle on the old peoples section

Probably a good move as we generally don't trust anyone under the age of 75.

PS I'm with you about cats.
