GH6 Missing Features from GH5M2 and to an extent G9
3

Panasonic has been in touch here in the UK to discuss some issues I have encountered with the camera during the first days of use.

I have taken the chance also of asking to reinstate some features and ask for some new ones like video pre-roll and still pre-burst

I am confident on the bug fixing and some of the minor feature like AF Point scope, multiple exposures and timestamp will come back

I am less confident on things like live composite and post focus

I know for a fact 4k/6k are dead so I did not bother asking for those

Thanks, I121.

I am less concerned about composite & post focus anyway.  I preferred to do these in post processing anyway.

on item I would like…and is on the OM-1, is the ability to set a counter for the number of shots in a burst.  Sometimes you just want, for example, 16 images….it is really hard to not over/under shot at high burst rates.

The camera can take 200 shots not 50-100 so even if they do not do that it has a really large buffer. What would be good is time variable instead of frame i.e. 0.5 or 1 second or whatever

Nice that they seemed at least willing to listen.

I think it's encouraging both companies (OMDS) seem to be a bit more hands-on with customers.
