Backward compatability...

I'm digging into the Fuji X APC size cameras. I wore out my last set of Sony gear, and that damn flash shoe on Sony makes me nuts/

I've got a couple XT4 with various lenses, and looking at getting this one. 27mm WR

I am evaluating the x-pro2 as another camera for my new system... so my question is as follows regarding how this lens performs the "rangefinder" magic on the x-pro2.

I have the 35mm Nokton -x special, and understand it doesn't "work" with the x-pro2.

The Nokton works seamlessly with the xt4.  So if there is a new electronic signaling system that as I read Voightlander is using for this new lens, will this New Fujifilm lens work "backwards" seamlessly with legacy equipment?

If someone can verify that it brings up the right bright lines and that the box "travels" and re-sizes based on focus distance I'd appreciate it.

I'm finding that the 35mm on the X-Pro works pretty well in optical mode, and I like that the isn't a smaller brightline like on the x-pro3.

I'm suspecting a programmer will develop a "hack" to get the 35mm Voitlander-X to perform on the x-pro2 eventually.

This link will take you to a compatibility table from Voigtlander.  I hope this is helpful.
