Nice.    The images look good.  I am looking forward trying out the focus limiter (as you mentioned). Also, the now focus transition setup looks like a nice feature.

Today I had a lens that has a physical switch

If tomorrow does not rain will go out with the 50-200mm and use the software limiter

Handling comparison?

The photo's look great!   How do you feel about the weight of the GH6 compared to your G9?

I use the GH6 in a cage while normally I use the G9 with a base plate, that I remove when I need to use the anchor on the bottom.

Today I had the GH6 in the cage with the 100-400mm a manfrotto 290 aluminum tripod and a second camera bag with the G9 in it (I took it as second when I was doing a timelapse). With this set up I walked around 11,000 steps

So am not the best person when it comes to light gear

It does not bother me personally as my other rig has the camera in the cage with  a top handle and the monopod with the 50-200mm perhaps 2.5 kg and I carry it for long distances

Based on my experience with full frame tele lenses the key issue is the weight of the lens as that induces a torque. The camera body for me makes little difference

My heaviest lens the 200mm i mount an anchor on the bottom and carry it sideway like a bag shotgun mode again the lens is the heaviest part but all in all not that heavy (for me)
