Hello...

For your T3i - buy  nice battery at your nearby house or order on B&H..... IMHO

Hi TMAmich,

I only use my 600d (t3i) with the DuraPro LP-E8 batteries.

I haven't experienced any problems with them.

Thanks for the brand suggestion. The more I look into this, the more it looks like you need at least two fully charged batteries, maybe more, for a day of running around shooting.

I bought 4 batteries for my T5 back in 2016.   2 Wasabi and 2 Powerextra.  The do not last as long as the OEM battery, but total amount more than makes up the difference.

Now, 5+ years later, the Wasabi's charging exclusively in the Wasabi charger bulged on me.  Both at near the same time.  The Powerextra's did not.  Trashed the Wasabi's and replaced them with Powerextra's.  I'm now using a Powerextra charger for all 4 Powerextra batteries.

If you buy aftermarket batteries, get several more to overcompensate for the lower battery life.   NO issues with the Powerextra batteries being used in my Rebel T5 camera.  These were an Amazon purchase.

Thanks for that suggestion.  I was not able to find the Dura Pro battery brand suggested in an earlier post.

kastar seems to work for me.  cheap on ebay/amazon.

some day, there may be a test on all these third party batteries.

there are better after market batteries out there some say.  i may order some BM or Wasabi next time.

don't over charge or leave unattended charging of these after market types; better off pulling them off the charger after an hour or so, as some report the chargers themselves or the electronics in the battery are not up to OEM standards.
