Which camera for infrared?

I used to keep two E-PM2s in a bag, one infrared converted, one not, and use them when I took the dogs out in the hills. I only had a few days of this because Covid struck. I was really, really pleased with the infrared.

Over the pandemic my infrared E-PM2 has died

Two candidates to have converted to replace it - my E-M1 mk1, or the other E-PM2.

The advantage of the E-PM2, it can go in my normal E-M1X bag as an option. The E-M1, better stabilisation and weather proof.

Thoughts?

The best camera to use for any photo is the one you have with you.

If you are planning to take the IR camera alongside a full spectrum camera then I would convert the E-PM2.

I think you are more likely to take a smaller bodied E-PM2 along as a second camera than a larger bodied E-M1i, particularly if your main camera is an E-M1x.
