Offered in a variety of colors, it has a little flap on the bottom for easy access to the battery/card door.  They include a handy matching wrist strap, but I haven't used mine.  You could buy whatever kind of neck strap you'd like.

When I ordered mine, I had it within five days.  Was about $54 US.

No advice or recommendation from my side, as I use a different configuration for my X100T.

I use the camera with a RRS l-bracket with grip, that way have a better handling and can easily and quickly mount it on my tripod.

I use the PeakDesign Leash and Cuff with Anchor Links to quickly change between the camera strap, wrist strap and tripod mount, always depending on my actual shooting conditions and preferences.

Last but not least I use the ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 10 as my camera bag for the X100T.

Regarding draining the battery...you could set it up so is switches off after a minute etc...thanks for the review.
