Well lenses are ususally more primes (Fujicron) and a Standardzoom like the XF18-55 or XC16-50.

I don't do wildlife so nothing like the 70-300 or so.

Its the thing.

X-S10 is the best value for money, has IBIS and more controls.

The X-E4 is the stylish sister with the good looks.

Do you want the best value camera or the one you like?

Thats always my problem

I usually like to get the most out of my money, which would lead to the X-S10. Don't get me wrong its also a sexy camera, but the X-E4 is sexier and except form factor, controls and IBIS the image quality and possible settings will be the same.

Really since two weeks I read reviews, watch videos. One day I am pro X-E4, than pro X-S10.

I owned X-T20 and felt that a new compact Fuji camera with IBIS would be very convenient and bought X-S10. I am very satisfied with it. The grip is really a plus. I do not mind PASM in contrary custom settings C1 to C4 are really useful I noticed later. In addition, it is less expensive compared to a little bit bulky X-T4.

At the end, it is a personal decision. You could make a list of features that are important for you and evaluate both cameras side by side.

To get the most for your money, get the camera you will use the most. I 'thought' I'd like the XH-1. It's a fine machine, but I did not enjoy using it.

Agreed, which why the correct combination is an X-S10 and Ricoh GR

I agree on the ergonomics of the X-S10.  It is wonderful to hold and shoot with; I never feel that I am going to drop it, and I can handle it one-handed if need be.

I wouldn't mind having a couple more buttons to be able to assign things too, but as it is, it's a very enjoyable camera to use. I come from a film-camera era, and have used cameras with traditional controls, but after customizing some of the controls, I don't feel I miss the traditional analog-style layout.

Re: Can't decided between X-E4 or X-S10

Coming from the Rangefinder line (X-E2 and X-E3) and never liked the SLR-Design I switched to the X-S10! The IBIS is such a great feature and it opens the camera to the world of primes! It is such a deference to the X-E3 and the X-E4 is not better in that regard. I even see it as a step back compared to the E-3 because of the loss of fundamental controls. Take the X-S10 (with the Smallrig bottom plate) or stay with the X-T30. The E4 no real improvement….

Neither. Wait for the new cameras that start coming out next month. They have at least one extra film simulation, which you will like if you enjoy Classic Neg. Otherwise you will feel you bought late and regret not waiting. And you may be in the same GAS situation wanting a new model for no more money.

In the meantime try something different that will help your photo skills. For example, a rangefinder film camera or a Ricoh GR or a Fuji XF10. Buying something used will mean you only pay a minimal fee, cheaper than renting. But my way may have you waiting until October or so.

I don’t think either is actually an upgrade from the X-T30 unless you really need the IBIS and flippy screen of the X-S10 or are willing to sacrifice ergonomics for the tiny size difference of the X-E4. If those things don’t apply, stand pat and invest in lenses.

The only rumored camera to be released soon is the upcoming X-H2.

Besides this no camera coming out next month as to my knowledge.

An upcoming X-H2 would anyway not fit for me.

If you always wait for the next upcoming camera you spend more time waiting than using

nah, waiting doesn't make sense. when a new camera comes out it doesn't mean the older ones (read: current generation) don't take great pictures anymore. also, the first one would be the x-h2 in MAY, so even if you'd preorder on day 1 i assume you'd get it in july, maybe august. after the flagship x-h2, my assumption is that the next to be upgraded is the x-t4, then the x-pro3 and after those (or together with one of them) a mid range camera would be announced. i predict an x-e4 upgrade is about 3-4 years away
