Possible naming convention for the X100 series

Dear all,

I really like the Fuji X100 series and would like to suggest a possible naming convention for future X100 cameras after the X100V. The next X100 would be the 6th iteration in the series. To give a clear indication that it is the 6th iteration, it's name would either have to be the X100VI (according to roman numerals) or X100S (S for sixth). The X100VI would introduce more than one letter at the back of the name and X100S has already been used.

Therefore I suggest the next iteration be called X100 2. Basically it would herald the start of 'Series 2' of the X100 family with the X100 to X100V being the '1st series'. After the X100 2, we'll have the X100S 2, X100T 2, X100F 2 and X100V 2. Then X100 3 will kick off the 3rd series.

What do you all think? Just a fun suggestion.

Well, given that Fuji have already produced the X100, X100T, X-T100, X-T10, X10, XF10, XF10-24, and so on, I wouldn’t hold out much hope for a usable naming convention 😉

Perhaps name them after famous street photographers. The X100 Friedlander, X100 Frank, X100 Bresson, X100 Maier....  and so on.

The least of Fujifilm's worries.

Let's see the naming convention until now
2

X100

X100S - Second

X100T - Third

X100F - Fourth

X100V - Five/Fifth

X100? - Six/Sixth

I've seen X100X suggested for sixth version, which looks cool to be honest.

I like short names and hate hyphens in names. I hope the naming convention in future remains cools and avoids hyphens as much as possible.

Names like OM-D EM-10 Mark IV look ridiculous when printed on camera body.

I'm even fine with

X200, X200S, X200T, X200V, X200X

X300, X300S, X300T, X300V, X300X

etc...(if world is not damaged by any world war by then)

X100S for Steve Schapiro

Well... I worked in marketing for some time. If Fuji is doing like my company, they have already setup a task force, large department meetings, and at the end, the big boss of camera business decides (or asks his wife).
