Minolta AF2
3

Whenever I'm carrying my camera bag, which is most of the time, I keep my Minolta AF2 in there for those "casual" shots. The AF series were the first to use infra-red beams for auto focus and mine does a good job of it. That 38mm f2.8 lens is really excellent.  Of the 3 rolls I've run through it, only 1 pic was out of focus and that might have been me.  I finally finished a roll of Fujicolor Superia Xtra400 the other day and I thought I'd post a few pics.  I understand that prices on these cameras have really skyrocketed recently.  Apparently the "street" photography people have discovered it. I think one of the more endearing qualities of the AF2 is the noise it makes when you press the shutter button...sort of sounds like a Chipmunk sneezing; and I have to grin whenever I take a photo. In this series the vignetting present around my friend Kristin is post processing.

Re: Minolta AF2

If you like the noise you should hear when it talks  ! (AF Sv)

That camera sold well and ,from memory , customers did like it a lot.

Your photos do confirm it had a good lens.
