Breaking Android 4gb file limit

Is there way to format and use internal microSD or usb flash as exFat or ext4.

I need to edit some video. Android 10 does not have this options.

Last I checked, "adoptable storage" did exactly this and has been in Android for a long time.

If your device does not offer to format to exFAT then you will remain with FAT32 support only. The issue is that the Android LTS kernel of your device does not have the appropriate driver for exFAT support.

This might be vendor dependent.

My Nokia phone did not have exFAT support. My Moto phone and my wife's Samsung do.

My Nokia is OEM locked. Somehow this equals that memory card formatting is illegal activity.

Even the ext4 filesystem that is internally used by Android smartphones, is not allowed for memory card. Android is sub version of Linux, but i guess Linux was originally too good.

We could have new wave of housing market. Get a 30 year mortgage with that exception you are not allowed to clean dust in the house. You need to get new mortgages for clean house. We can name that house loan an Nokia.
