Shifting files to onboard SD card

I need to shift files and/or images from my wife's J3 drive to the onboard SD card and I'm having problems. It will allow me to shift some files and other files I cannot shift. I shifted one Facebook account app over to the SD card for her but she has a second Facebook account and it won't let me shift that one over nor can I move/copy any images from her drive over to the SD card. It's an old Samsung phone and I can't figure out why I can't move at least the images over to the onboard card. Anybody give me some help? Some  files will and some won't go as far as apps are concerned, but can't move any picture files either. How can I do this?

Regards, Jim

Some apps require files to be located on internal storage.

Have you tried Samsung support or the Samsung community site for help?

No experience of Samsung. Most camera apps will save to microSD on my Moto, but GCams won't - I found this app and set it up for the purpose. You can not only specify file extensions, but add them manually (as I did for .DNG) There may be other similar apps or a good file manager might do.
