Pinhole, Zone Plate, Zone Sieve

Has anyone else tried 3-D pinhole photography ?
Example below is not a true pinhole, actually a zone plate.

Thanks, I find it a real challenge to get an interesting photo using the zone plate/sieve.
Their primary feature is putting a halo around highlights.
Can even get a fascinating portrait with them.

Stereo adds another dimension to the image.

Putting a halo around the highlights is used as an artistic effect.
This effect is also very interesting for stereoscopic photography.

What is your opinion about image quality at large sizes?

I wouldn't know how to measure image quality for pinhole zone plate/sieve.
I suppose you could look at the "graininess" of the halo.

I refer to a subjective assessment. For example, I am curious how the image presented looks at 2000 pixels per frame width (i.e. 4000 pixels per image pair width).

I've never projected my images on a big screen. Can't answer from experience.

I presume factors such as viewing distance would come into effect there.
Otherwise, just viewing on a computer screen, you could set the ppi to suit when processing the image.
The image I showed above is reduced/compressed for emailing.
I would have to go back to my archives to find the original frames to process a high res version.

Because of the high level of "halo", the image looks good scaled to a much larger size and seen full screen.
From which it can be deduced that the original image looks even better.

I also achieved a similar effect by applying a complex processing in Photoshop.

I use zone plates for 3D routinely. Don't see it much different from regular lenses. Here are a couple of quick shots for parallel viewing:
