Willow is 10 weeks old. A fine blend between Huskie and Lab, so a typical québecois sled dog

Look at those white socks!  Willow looks like she is going to be an excellent dog.

Thank you yardcoyote. Actually Willows given name at the place where my kids picked her up was Boots. She has only been in her new home 5 days and is already ringing a bell hanging from the backyard door handle, asking to be let out. Very smart.

Thank you Chuck. She is getting lots of love and attention by my grand daughters and Willow's reaction is in kind and very gentle.

Re: New Family Addition with X100T

Great photos of your beautiful new puppy. Hope she was a rescue dog, there are so many puppies and older dogs looking for their forever home. Our older German Shepard passed away earlier in the year and our Collie has been very lonely. So we adopted a 25 week old Labrador mix as a little sister for him, I keep trying to get some decent photos of her but she never stops moving and is  too fast for me until her batteries are discharged or she's eating.

Willow is a rescue dog originally from the native villages in Northern Quebec. They have so many sled dogs up there that keep on producing too many litters that some organizations are trying to mitigate the problem. The dogs are raised 'til about 8 - 10 weeks and they try to find homes for them then. This is the second dog  we adopted like that

Our puppy came from Mississippi where it seems the dogs are left to roam unchecked and the resulting never ending liters are usually not wanted. If the pups are lucky like Layla was, they are surrendered to local rescue organizations, otherwise they may end out on the street, homeless to fend for themselves. So a never ending stream of homeless and unwanted dogs are shipped to recuse organizations in Connecticut and Massachusetts where there are a much lower number of local dogs needing rescue and many families willing to foster or adopt them.
