Have you thought about the X-T1 where it goes to 1/4000? My X-T1 paired with my 27mm which I understand you do not like makes a package I can carry easily in my coat pocket.

Also for street photography I prefer the perspective I get from a 23mm focal length on my Fuji's but again this is a personal preference and may not be right for you.

Here are a few just for fun taken with the X-T1 and 27mm on an overcast day in Northern California.

The 18 is my favorite focal length for street and I love the original 18f2. I didn’t get on with the 27 either.

LIghting conditions where your shutter speed is supposed to jump from low-light barely-doable-handheld to faster than 1/8000s is not at any level classified as straightforward shooting environment. But the camera has a built-in ND filter and MS+ES features which should make things a breeze.

I could have taken the images below with my Pixel 6 Pro but it's just so much more fun for me to capture them using my X-T1 paired with the 27mm f/2.8 shooting manual. They may not be photographic master pieces. They are memories of another Christmas with my wife's mother Toshiko who is 97 so another Christmas with Toshi is always special.
