Wow! That's amazing, Whiskey! I did a little research on that place, and found this:

Not my photo

See that glass box? What a view!

Now I want to there.

Thanks Sattva. I'm hoping we see even more long photos posted in here soon - maybe from a 135mm Art lens or a 150mm macro. I shot a few in Virginia with my 180mm macro, but I wasn't quite happy with them. I think a landscape shot with a long lens needs to be a certain type of image, or the atmosphere needs to be cool and clear. I bet on some of your trips you could really use a long lens for landscapes. I actually figured on my cross-country trip I would find more places to shoot with my long lenses, but I haven't found many. Maybe I'll find more, now that winter is here, and the fires in the West are out.

Well said Scott. Each and every lens focal length has a unique character/signature!

As for me using long lenses on my trips...yes i would like to take my lenses along...BUT i have to be very practical and minimal on my expeditions. Lugging the SD14 itself is QUITE a challenge. And then i have another complication to address...batteries and charging solutions!

Hi Scott,  Your research was worthwhile. It is an amazing place but not for those without a head for heights!!

The cable car heading up there is visible in the picture,  again not a ride if you like to keep your feet on the ground.

Thanks for the comments, glad you found it interesting,

Cheers,  S.
