Fix a messed up Firmware Update for the NX2000

Here is how you can restart the NX2000 after a messed up Firmware update .

Sympthoms :

if you start the firmware update with a weak battery and the camera does not restart after the first step of the update, it wouldn´t boot anymore, even if you replace the battery.

All it shows is a blinking green light at the back of the camera regardless, if it´s turned on or off. It just keeps blinking.

Cure :

Remove the battery and SD-Card.
Disconnect the USB cable.
Without battery and SD Card turn the powerswitch to the "ON" position while holding down the shutter button for 10 to 15 seconds.
Release the shutterbutton.
Press it again and hold it.
While holding down the shutter button again, flip in the battery and release the shutter button.

Now the camera OS comes back claiming "No SD Card".
Turn off the camera insert the card and turn the camera on.

Select "Menu" and navigate to factory reset.
Reset the camera.

Turn it of.
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
Prepare the SD Card now.
Delete all files and folders on this card with your computer.

Unzip the firmware update file and copy it to the card.
Insert a fully charged battery and the SD Card in the camera.

Turn your camera on.
Select the Menu and navigate to "Device Information".

Now activate the firmware update again and dont touch the camera until it says "Firmware Update completed".

If you see this message on the camera´s screen, turn the camera off.

Unlock the lens.
Wait for 5 seconds, then turn your camera on again.
Select "Menu" and navigate to "Reset".
Select RESET to reset it back to the factory settings.

Close the menu and turn off your camera.
Wait for 5 seconds, then turn your camera on.

It should work now like a new, never used camera.
Select "Menu" and adjust country, date/time and all the settings you want, to your preferences.

Your camera should now be updated to the new firmware and show all normal functions again.
