Hello Joseph!

Some years ago I had the opportunity to compare a Canon FDn 28mm f/2,8 and a Minolta MC Rokkor 28mm f/2,8. (Using my Sony NEX-7)

To get the Canon corners to be as sharp as the Minolta corners at f/2,8, I had to stop the Canon down to f/8. Just to make sure I repeated the comparison.

Being quite a few years newer, I believe your Minolta AF 28mm f/2,8 is even sharper than the MC 28mm f/2,8.

Your picture made me think of "Fog On The Tyne" and then, due to the season, "Winter Song" by Lindisfarne.  Thank you!

Regards

Thanks Vegar Beider.
That 28mm is indeed super sharp, even mounted on the 24mp a77 and a77ii.
My only full frame A mount body that is still working is an 700si, and the 28mm is still sharp in the corners.
