Canon RF16mm F2.8 - compare to 16-35 F2.8 II on a R camera

I would like to know if anyone tested the new RF16mm F2.8 compare to the 16-35mm F.28 II in 16mm
Is the sharpness and distortion similar for both lenses? test both on canon R

My RF 16mm copy just arrived.  How can one compare this cheap lens against an L lens which costs more even used?

After processing in DPP4, or exporting as an in-camera distortion corrected jpeg, the distortion should be very similar. DxO PhotoLab won't have a lens correction profile yet.

Because one is a zoom and one is a prime. Even high quality zooms are often compromised at one end of the focal range.

I understand what you're saying Pawn, but I was thinking more like Paul....one is an L zoom lens and the other one RF prime, it was intersting to see to comparison between them...
