Tribute to the 400D

Was looking up photos in an old hard drive and can't help be amazed by the very first DSLR I owned. Cameras have come a long way since then, but this ain't bad at all.

It was my first camera as well, still have it.  This makes me want to get it out and play with it.  I think I jhave some CF cards kicking around somewhere.

A long way, how?

My 400D/Tamron 17-50mm images look as good today as they did 14 years ago. If I hadn't broken the lens or maybe have other better lenses for it I could have possibly kept it to this day.

I'm actually still thinking about getting a similar combo again, the only drawback is the overall size, I'm used to pocket cameras now.

(Can't post samples, I don't have my archive with me).

No doubt! I've used my 400D in the past with my Tamron 10-24mm and it was my favorite combo from 2008 thru 2010 😁

I still use my 450D from time to time even though I have much newer and more modern cameras. In good light the photos are still good and new software noise reduction software has helped make it better.
