NX1 for use as a webcam?

TuVuVu kindly shared the link for the remote studio and while I can get this to work with the NX1, I can't figure out how to use the NX1 as a webcam for things like zoom/teams calls - is this even possible?

I've downloaded OBS studio and the video capture plugin but can't work out how to get it to recognise the camera. I've seen a tutorial on YouTube where the guy manages to do it but can't get it to work myself.

Has anyone managed to get it to work?

Would certainly be possible using the camera's HDMI output and a capture device such as Cam Link.

the nx1 is not designed for use as a webcam. You either run USB into remote studio running in the background, and use OBS to window capture that window (low fps, not great quality, audio sync issues likely) or run micro hdmi to hdmi into a usb capture device as stated above. Camlink might be overkill, the $20 ones on amazon will serve the purpose and still look better than most actual webcams.

avoid the ones that look identical for cheaper unless they have a lot of reviews as well. There are many different sellers selling these, though many of the cheaper ones with like 10 reviews did not put a heatsink on the main chip and it fails over time. Anyway, that is the best option for capturing from an nx1 short of spending $100+ on a cam link (I have both the cheapo and a camlink 4k and I grab the cheapo often still)
