There’s absolutely no doubt the rx1 series is capable of great IQ, and can do things the Fuji X100v can’t. IQ wise, the only issue I have is with the colours - Deeds examples do show the effect I was getting, so you can judge from this if it’s a problem or not.

However, the real issue is whether the IQ is worth other trade-offs.

In my view, people tend to underestimate the importance of enjoying photography, and overestimate IQ.

I use my x100v more than any other camera, it’s so enjoyable to use. The RX1 rii was always annoying me in different ways. Hence my advice above.

However, this is partly subjective. Some people hate Fuji’s control scheme - they are upset that Fuji doesn’t let them set shutter speeds to one third stops, which just seems completely unimportant to me. Clearly, some people (like Deed) do get the RX1 series to work for them.

Any ACTUAL comparisons?

Did you ever end up actually handling or having any sort of line of comparison between an RX1(r/rii) and the actual X100V aside from generally speculating off the older models?
