Last shots with the 7D
8

It's funny. I have so called better cameras, and still, I always come back to my 7D.
I enjoy using and carrying this camera: weight, handling, ergonomy, all is perfect. It's an extension of myself. I don't have to fight a stupid menu to change the metering, exposure compensation, or any function i need: there is a knob, a button or a selector.
In the end, maybe the process of shooting, and enjoying the act of taking a photo is more important than the technicals of the final image.

Also, I don't have to fight the raws to get the colors I want: they are just there! (unlike some more recent Sony cameras...)

Very nice indeed.

Just hoping that "last shots" was used in the sense of most recent and not that your cam stopped working as mine did in two occasions.

Thanks.
yes, I definitely mean most recent.
My 7D is still kicking, no FFB, no issues.
Maybe I should buy a few just in case...

Very interesting and colourful shots. I like the birds in water most.
The way you feel about your 7D, I feel about my KM5D. I have a 7D but never really warmed to it.

Renato

Never had a KM5D. When it came out I had switched to Nikon, and put the minolta gear in  a closet for 15 years. Didn't regret it professionnaly, Nikon did the job, but I have to admit I always missed to feel of Minolta cameras.
I should get one of those 5D for my collection.

Stunning colours, as we who are experienced in Minolta all very well know, but it's still fascinating to see it because it has to be experienced first hand.

I especially liked the autumn leaves there and the different hues and colours.

The KM5D looks extremely basic next to the 7D.
But it was lighter than the 7D and to me, gave pretty much the same shots.
