Next X100 may...

Yes definitely 2023 at the earliest with incremental update...maybe even 2024 with a bigger update (IBIS?). I wouldn't wait that long, just get the X100V now and enjoy it!

I need IBIS

IMO next X-Pro 4 may come with IBIS but X100VI hasn't due to product segmentation.

or D-pad,

IMO D-pad never come to next X100 series due to Fuji want flat body as 'poor man Leica' (X-E4 design philosophy).

just please don't remove any more buttons from the next model.

IMO both next X-Pro and X100 will follow X-H2's unclickable command-dials.

I think after Ricoh released the GRIIIx with a 40 mm equivalent lense and both Ricohs have IBIS and are >500,- less than the Fuji with incredible good lenses, it might be a challenge for Fuji to add IBIS to the X100 line. This is not meant to criticize the relatively high price of the Fuji, it has features that justify the price, but out of the perspective of potential buyers, it might push Fuji to compete with Ricoh - although both cameras have quite different philosophies, a lot of people are interested in both.

Or it is just me, 'cause I can't decide if the Fuji or the Ricoh is my fav.

It's a hard choice but I will say that the Fuji AF is much better. And in moderate light to low light, way better.  Of Course the ricoh is a real pocketable with an amazing UI/interface.

So yeah.

Besides 40MP sensor and IBIS ....improve ND filter

Beside 40MP sensor and IBIS, next X100 technically can improve it ND filter.

Fujifilm X100 series has larger lens barrier when compare with Ricoh GR series. Fujifilm technically able add one more 2 stop ND become switchable no-ND, 2-stop-ND, 4-stop-ND.

Fujifilm X100S film type ND filter

For Ricoh GR, 4 stops film type ND like below

We know that X100V is almost perfect camera (except larger size than Ricoh GR).

It didn't means X100 series no longer need improvement specially it cost $1,399 (which much expensive than Ricoh GRIII).

Of Course the ricoh is a real pocketable with an amazing UI/interface.

Ricoh GR real selling point only TRUE pocketable and sharper lens.

Missing EC button and flash make GRIII/GRIIIx as less amazing UI.

First, we will see an X-T5 and then we can speculate about the guts of a future X-Pro4, X-E5 or X100vi, which might be in the market in 2 years or so.

One more thing - support min SS or actual SS

IMO X100 should rework SS dials, with physical lever support min SS or actual SS.
