a diamond

this lens is a diamond. very sharp, very fast AF, very soft and smooth bokeh. There is this lens is a diamond. very sharp, very fast AF, very soft and smooth bokeh. There is some distortion, luckily this is supported recently in Capture One, I would have been annoyed if I had had it a year earlier.

Re: a diamond

I would most certainly not call the AF fast, but everything else about it is stellar.

edit: I see it's not Canon version. Maybe it's different.

The DSLR and mirrorless 85/1.4 (DN) are entirely different designs, not really versions... I mean, one weighs 1.13kg and the other 625g, so yeah, quite different. The DN/mirrorless 85/1.4 has only come out in E mount and L mount, not the same lens as the 85/1.4 HSM that came out years earlier.

You probably mean older DSLR Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art which is different lens design (14 lens elements in 12 groups), not new smaller mirrorless 85mm F1.4 DG DN | Art (15 elements in 11 groups).
