Editting non conventional aspect ratios

I'm currently editing a 4k project in a 3840x1800 timeline and wonder if this could lead to incompatibility issues with certain play back devices. 21:9 or 3840x1600 is the nearest native aspect ratio but it's a little too tight for my liking. Any advice or insights would be appreciated, cheers!

Unless I’ve read this wrong, you might want to post in the digital video talk - this forum is about photography with film, rather than making movies
