Re: California Coast

Nice photo Rick. My initial though was to crop some from the bottom but then thought no--- I think it adds to the scene and what it portrays.

I assume this is northern CA?

Re: California Coast

Interesting. I was expecting the traditional cliché of a rocky beach by sunset. Thanks for showing that there is more to see in California.

Here's another unexpected California scene:

Re: California Coast

Thanks: the shot "Took itself":

Driving on s dirt road, these tracks went off to the right. Stopped van "In it's tracks", stepped out, pressed shutter & away Total elapsed time, maybe 2 minutes.

Sometimes you get lucky. The coast, itself, is just on the other side of those Mountains.

In this drought, unexpected indeed. Seems so long since I've seen green....

Great shot though; love me those dirt roads, and for my money the oak grasslands of CA are the best part.

Re: California Coast

Nice shot but a little too much saturation for my liking.

Re: California Coast

Yes it  has a lot of saturation...If I can find the raw file I will take a second look.
