Good quality 3D photo and video capturing and viewing methods?

I want to start capturing photos and videos in 3D, mostly of places and people in my life for documentation and later view. There is abundance of photos and video clips from cameras and phones, but good quality 3D imaging brings a new dimension and new experience that I would like to capture.

My questions are:

  1. What equipment are people using these days for capturing (a) good quality 3D photograps, and (b) good quality 3D videos?
I have already Fujifilm interchangable lens cameras and perhaps there are some split view lens assemblies? Or some other available equpiment that would be reasonably portable and deliver good quality? Fujifilm W3 or something similar?
  2. What means are people using to view the 3D photos and videos?
I have already a 2013 Samsung TV with 3D glasses? Would this work or are there good alternatives?

All suggestions are welcome, thanks.

i)

I use two sony RX0 II pair. It does great 3D photos easily. For videos, it need to be pair and trigger with the phone apps. It much better than the Fujifilm W3 which I had and also beam splitter.

ii) For convenience. I just use anaglyph on the monitor. I also have the LG Passive 3D TV for better viewing. If you want to show it outside, can use one of those cheap 3D phone like PPTV King 7s. These are great for 6" size photos.

The Internet is full of good information on stereoscopic 3D.

A relative new site is this:

Re: Good quality 3D photo and video capturing and viewing methods?

I have looked to see what is available and made a list of what I found.

Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3

Lenovo Mirage with Daydream

Nishika N8000, Analog Stereo Camera

Intel RealSense D435 - 3D depth sensor camera

MYNT EYE 3D depth sensor camera

Vuze XR, 3D and 360 Camera

Insta360 ONE X Camera

Insta360 ONE R Camera

Insta360 EVO Foldable 3D Camera

Kandao Qoocam, 3D VR and 360 camera

LucidCam - 180 Degree 3D VR Camera

3D World Medium Format Stereo Camera Model TL120-1 Roll Film Camera

The Lumix 3D Stereo Camera

GoPro Dual HERO System HERO 3+ 3D model

The list is in no particular order and the original list had photos of each camera but I couldn't get the PDF file to upload.  Just copy the name and do a search.  I'm leaning toward the GoPro Hero 3+ arrangement since it should do a nice job with video along with stills.  Many of these cameras are out of production but can be found on various used markets.

I have a 1950 Stereo Realist 35mm camera (bought by my father around 1950) and those types of cameras can be found but they use film.  Also, since they are mechanical cameras, you need to check the physical operation of the shutter speeds and f-stops to make sure they are in sync.  Be careful about buying one sight unseen since the camera would be difficult or impossible to fix and you may not get your money back.   I hope this helps.
