On the road to Telluride we came upon this site.  Image made with the SD1 Merrill and the 18-35 mm Art lens. Note the Merrill clouds in the background.

Enjoy!

Yep, that is reckless Rick out on the edge again.  I have a couple of others of you in similar situations.  My rubber legs won't allow me to venture out on such places.  (Rubber legs can be translated 'chicken')

Wow Vitee...great set of images.  What were you using for processing then?  SPP and Photoshop.  Great job  on producing a rich feeling.

Were you using a medium format or large format film camera for that?

ha ha ha

Kathleen and I were down that way in 1978 and got shots of those rocks with our Leicaflex and Rollieflex cameras.  The Rollie shots might equal the SD1M and at that time Kat, no doubt, would have made the better image.

I did have a 4 X 5 view camera in those days, but not on this trip.  I found it was too much trouble to use in practice, although Kathleen loved it.

Thanks for the comments, I think!

Hello Bags27:  All the images on this thread were taken the Sigma SD1 Merrill, which has a cropped sensor.

A 50% crop image, although we get about a kilogram or more a year from this potted plant (and that's not counting the ones that over-ripen and drop :-O).
