Fuji X100S compatible external flashes (3rd party pref.)

Hello!

Can anybody recommend (pref. from own experience) affordable external flashlights (Godox TT350F or similar) that would be compatible with X100s ← it is S.Yes, it is the worst camera that I have owned but would like to make at least some use of it

I am asking because I have skimmed through so many threads that bring out flashlight  incompatibility issues with Fuji cameras that are hidden in some little detail (for example works well with X100F but not with any other). The forementioned TT350F is also having only X100F and X100T in its compatibility table. Doesn't it work with X100S then?

I have no hopes to find anything that would be E-TTL or anything fancy. If something would function (trigger) in a foolproof way at least in manual mode I would already be happy to carry it around

Thank you!

I'd go with Godox F flash. Since you would be happy for just manual operation, the trigger pins would work and at the very least you could use it that way. I small unit like the 350F would work.

The nice thing about the X-100 series is they have a leaf shutter so synch speeds isn't a problem.

The X-100 is a great little camera!

This may help:

Strobist: Leaf Shutter + ND + Flash: A Fuji X100s Daylight Primer

You could try with the Nikon, but I'm guessing the Godox would work as well.

Re: Fuji X100S compatible external flashes (3rd party pref.)

Thank you for the reply. I own Sigma EF-500 DG Super (with Canon hotshoe) and hoped it would work at least in manual mode but it does exactly nothing but freezing I have managed to get it to work as a slave but it is not very reliable.

I think I will go for this TT350F then. In Amazon.de it is just 73 euros at the moment. Worth a try and I will leave an update here (hopefully) of how I works out.
