Re: A few more Flowers and Bees

Hi Larry.
Thank you for your beautiful photos. You supported me.
Now you even have three bees in the photo! You overcame my two .. You have enough photos from macro lenses .. I will have to catch up with you

Larry, it's like I wrote? Is the 105mm "OS" lens little known? Perhaps it is more used 150 mm macro lens 180mm macro - later variant..

Thanks, Peter.

Thanks, Don .. the plane is captured nicely, sharply .. the 105mm OS lens works great with the SD Quattro!
The weather was bad here with us yesterday, I'm going to catch something with a 105mm lens today. I fixed picture a Sunflowers .. I like a well visible detailĀ

Have a nice day Don, Peter

Hi Larry .. nice shots, the other one has beautiful colors and sharpness and properly lit When did you shoot Larry? It is probably a heron, a typical bird for this area.

Thanks, Larry!

The first one was back lit (sometimes you have to take what the critters  give you), the heron stayed around for a few minutes and turn into a direction where he was front lit.  I think the first shot has a nice mood,

I shot these in June 2013. Ā I was taking flower pictures at a garden in this park, using the 105mm OS macro lens and decided to walk over to the lake in this park. Ā The heron was fishing near the shore and let me take a few shots, below is the last image I got as he flew away

Thanks, Larry!

Re: Great Blue Heron with the 105mm OS macro lens

That last shot is the best one.

The European species, usually just called The Heron in England, is closely related to the Great Blue and looks very similar. People used to eat them.

I understand, Larry ... sometimes it works out like this and we're grateful it worked out at all. It is true that the first and third photos have a better atmosphere and that's what it's all about!
I had such a day yesterday. When I wanted to take a few photos with the 105mm OS lens, there were already a lot of clouds. Before sunset, I took this picture at the last minute this

Thanks again, Larry, for your nice contributions, you made me happy. Peter
