Auto FP / HSS on XE-3

Hello Everyone,

Hope all of you guys are doing well and good.

(I apologize if this has been asked  before)

I am currently in the process of migrating from Sony to Fuji. I am eyeing on a used XE-3 (2nd hand prices of it on our place is really cheap) not to mention I prefer the rangefinder more than the usual SLR style. The XPRO2 is still on the high side so that's a not an option for me.

The only thing that is holding me back is if it support HSS?

This is rather big for me as I use flash / strobes 95% of the time. I tried searching online but I can't seem to find a direct answer.

Thank you all in advance.

It requires a HSS compatible trigger.  I was actually testing a trigger this morning and my Flashpoint X-Pro allowed HSS easily while another trigger did not.

That's good to hear. I was worried that the lower end bodies are setup like Nikon / Canons, wherein HSS are only made available to their higher end offerings.

Im currently invested in the Godox system. Will probably get their Fuji trigger then.

Thank you so much for your help.

Hi Donnie

I confirm this. The X-E3 is technically the same camera as my X-T20.

The Godox TT 685 F and the X-Pro F trigger work also in HSS mode.

What doesn't work is the AF assist, https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/63544168

Kind regards,

Martin
